A sketchbook as a portfolio

Notes on building this very site — two identities, one hand-drawn system.

I wanted a portfolio that argued its own case: that I can both design and build. So instead of one polished page, it became a notebook with two chapters you flip between.

One system, two voices

Both sides share the exact same tokens, doodles and motion — only the emphasis shifts. That shared DNA is what keeps it from feeling like two websites.

The doodles are code

Every arrow, star and browser frame is a small SVG component, not an image — so they animate, recolour and stay crisp at any size.

This Notes section is the newest chapter: proof that the sketchbook keeps growing.
